Lynn Gray
Lynn Gray B.A., M.S. has been an experienced instructor and department head for over 26 years. Her instructional experience covers elementary, middle school, and high school. Lynn’s highlights include: Teacher of the Year twice, a finalist once, Peer Counselor of the Year, 14 years as an instructor and department head in the Hillsborough County Public Schools, 9 years of instruction and department head at Jesuit High School, and 3 years as a part time adjunct instructor for Jesus Mary Joseph (JMJ) of Tampa Bay Homeschooling.
Lynn Gray has been a business owner of Take…The First Step for over 15 years, which includes a full size training center. Take…The First Step Club serves both kids and adults to take part in healthy choices such as the walk-to-run movement. Her commitment to children’s health extends throughout the Hillsborough County Public School system’s elementary schools as the curriculum author of the Running Clubs.
Lynn Gray is a recognized author for Runners’ World magazine and other publications including her own books: Conquering the Marathon and Fit and Faster. Lynn has been a resident of Tampa for 51 years and married to Lewis Gray for 32 years. They have one son – Thomas Gray and a beautiful granddaughter. She is a recognized athlete as a runner of 12 Boston Marathons and age group winner for over 35 years. Lynn will soon be running her 100th marathon. She is a recognized “style” parachute competitor of over 1200 jumps, and who trained with the U.S. Army team – The Golden Knights.
