Dear Community Partners,
Once again, the Children’s Board is decorated with bright blue pinwheels for Child Abuse Prevention Month, a cheerful reminder about the focus on nurturing happy, healthy childhoods. Our team has been busy planning events and distributing supplies to partners for pinwheel gardens all over the community. It’s not too late to participate, so please get in touch if you are interested in joining us in the campaign.
Our annual event will take place on April 9th at the Tampa Museum of Art. This year, we will focus on successful prevention strategies and honor two local family support professionals. We debuted a new Family Support Champion award this year and received 27 nominations from our funded partners! While we cannot formally honor all who working in this field, I extend my sincere appreciation to all our local champions for their commitment to family engagement and family support.
Additionally, we are joining forces with some great partners for a Keeping Kids Safe community day for children and families on April 26th at Emmanuel P. Johnson Recreation Center. Registration information can be found below for both April events.
